Powered by Parents
A tournament of this size could not happen without parent volunteers. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to judge, manage logistics, run parking, and keep the tournament flowing smoothly. We pride ourselves on providing excellent meals throughout the weekend and creating a welcoming, judge-friendly environment—Lincoln has earned a reputation for being one of the most organized and supportive tournaments in the region.
A Showcase of Skill and Scholarship
Debate and speech at this level demand far more than public speaking ability. Students engage deeply with complex policy questions, philosophy, constitutional law, economics, ethics, and current events. Rounds are evidence driven, strategically nuanced, and intellectually demanding. Rose City highlights the very best of high school forensics:
• Advanced research and argumentation
• Rapid analytical thinking
• Respectful but rigorous clash
• Poise under pressure
• Academic excellence in action
