Championship Update

We are approaching the latter stages of the Limerick Camogie Championship with the final rounds of the Senior and Junior grades and the Intermediate semi-finals completed last weekend.

In the Senior Championship Newcastle West recorded an impressive 3-8 to 0-7 win over champions Granagh Ballingarry. Killeedy and Ahane both also won against bottom clubs Cluain Dearg and Ballyagran who will now meet each other in a relegation decider.

The semi-finals take place next Saturday at 4pm and will see Killeedy face Granagh Ballingarry and Newcastle West play Ahane.

In the Intermediate semi-finals Cappamore overcame Bruff and 2015 runners-up Crecora saw off the champions Murroe Boher to set up a final meeting also on Sunday 25th. The same day will see the relegation decider between Na Piarsaigh and Ballybrown.

In the Junior Championship Shannonside and Newcastle West topped their respective groups unbeaten to go straight to the semi-finals where their opponents will come from quarter-finalists; Galbally who host Patrickswell on Sunday and Tournafulla who play Killeedy.

The Junior Plate semi-final will see Templeglantine play Knockaderry with the winners meeting Granagh Ballingarry in the final.
