Club History:
Even though no formal records exist for our Club up to 1988, based on oral accounts Killeedy members played in the 1930’s followed by another revival movement in the early 1950’s.
The club came alive again in 1981 fielding both underage and a junior team. However, struggling with numbers at junior level by the end of the decade, a renewed effort in 1990 saw the club concentrate on underage which laid the foundation stone to have enough players for all age groups right up to adult.
The intervening years has seen the club go from strength to strength thanks to the hard work and dedication of club officers, coaches, parents, volunteers, and players.
The result of this hard work by so many over the last four decades can be seen in a current club membership of over 250 and a playing membership of over 175.
Killeedy Camogie Club are proud to have won numerous county underage and adult titles over the years but in 2021 becoming the first camogie club to field three adult teams was special.
