History:
Galbally Camogie club was founded in 1994. It has gone from strength to strength since its formation. It now caters for over 100 girls from an area which includes not just Galbally but Ballylanders, Anglesborough, Emly, Aherlow, Glenbrohane and Knocklong. The club caters for all age groups from U6 up to Intermediate.
The teams have been very successful over the years winning many competitions while the most recent was back in October (2022) - Winning the Junior A cup and we also had the U16 A and the Minor A Cup Championships in 2018. This has been due to hard dedication and work from every girl in the club but also due to the very committed managers, parents and volunteers.
To have reached the final stage of the Con and Annie Kirby Memorial with TOOLMAKER JOSE and also to win the final was a huge honour for the club. The generosity of the McManus family is greatly appreciated.
We would also like to wish the very best of luck to the girls on the county Camogie team this year (2023):
Kate O’Donnell (U15’s)
Ella Walsh and Keeley Hartigan (U16’s Development Squad)
Aisling Fitzgerald (U17s)
Caroline Fitzgerald and Grace Purcell (Minor’s)
Emma and Lisa English (Junior’s)
Denise Mullins (Senior’s)
Well done to the girls that have been on the County teams down through the years.
