Smith, Tibbles, Picton
How, Lane, Cook, Doggett, Rose.
The visitors were late in arriving and the game did not start until 4,O Clock
The homesters won the toss and elected to kick down-hill
and at once attacked the visitors goal, but the backs cleared.
Each end visited in turn the game opening very fast, but at length Currant
scored the first goal for the homesteders, with a good shot from the right. On the
restart the visitors got away, but Stanville soon returned to the attack, and several
good opportunities were misted. After some even play
Currant got in a another shot and followed it up, bundled goalkeeper
and ball through the goal, thus notching the second point for the homesteders.
Play slackened down somewhat up until the interval.
After a breathing space the game again became very fast through
Stanville, who were now playing up hill, were mostly in their opponents quarters.
Currant was the first to open the scoring in the second half,
which he did with a shot which wert right into goal from the wing
and hitting the upright on the opposite side, rebounded into play.
The visitors appealed but the referee gave a goal.
Chilvers was next to be in the scoring mood and put on two goals
in quick succession, thus giving the homesteders a lead of five goals.
Play slowed down considerably, thou Stanville
were still the aggressive party and Griffin succeeded in
notching the sixth and last point for the homesteders.
The visitors got down on several occasions,
but were unable to get within shooting range,
until five minutes of the end when Lane succeeded
in scoring the only goal for them.

H.G. Cook, R. Tibbles, J. Fosse: half backs
G. Howe. W. Charge. F. Lane, Frank Chennels, Fred Seabrook: forwards.
This was the first meeting of the above teams this season. Bedmond came with a splendid record, not having been beaten this season and having scored 22 goals against 0. Bedmond won the toss and defended the lower goal. The homsters at once attacked but were beaten back. The visitors pressed but could not beat Barns, who defended grandly. Some pretty play was down by Seabrook but the backs cleared. The homsters next gained two corners, but nothing resulted. The visitors pressed and gained several corners which were easily disposed of. Charge got away on the right and put in a good centre, but Ashby cleared. Then Chennells recovered and scored with a lightning shot. Half time arrived with the game unaltered.
On the restart Bedmond attacked, but they could not pass Smith or Latchford. How received on a pass by Cook and put in a good centre from a difficult position, which Lane easily converted into goal number two. This woke Bedmond and they their utmost to score, but could not overcome the defence. Latchford putting in some mighty kicks. Time was now drawing near and the game ended as above stated.

Bedmond had a very strong team out on Saturday. Being assisted by Fellows and Wiffen from West Herts Reserves. Leverstock Green lost the toss and Bedmond defended the village goal. Howe at once got away on the left, but was deprived when nearing the goal. Cutler returned the attack, but when about to shoot twisted himself so badly that was forced to retire. The visitors, thus weakened. Bedmond made track, for their goal, the ball was across to the left wing, who shot through from the most offside position, but to the great surprise of the visitors the referee awarded a goal. Bedmond pressed again, Latchford in attempting to clear, accidentally handled, for which the referee gave a penalty kick, from which Wiffen scored. The Bedmond forwards took up the running again and Wiffen had only goal-keeper to beat, but Cook rushed across just in the nick of time. Soon after this Barnes was severely kicked in a scrummage, but stuck to his charge gallantly. Soon after Bedmond scored again through Wiffen, half-time arrived soon after with the score unaltered.
