As I reflect on this Professional Learning Leader Certification journey, I am amazed at all that I have accomplished in just 8 weeks. This course validated much of what I was already doing, but also added to my knowledge and skills as a professional. I was able to apply almost all of what we worked on right away in my job or in professional developments I was giving. The activities had purpose and were intentional.

I have grown as a leader and as a teacher from this certification. I felt that the community that was built was an asset in my professional career. The other leaders I have been able to connect with as a result of this experience have contributed just as much as the content. I have learned so much and have been so inspired by my peers.

In the waters we navigate when it comes to integrating technology into education there are rough seas sometimes. We must forge ahead and educate in the new methodologies and 21st century skills and begin to steer away from traditional industrial teaching methods. We must be confident in the modeling and research of these new methods and skilled in the training the trainer. This certification has prepared me for the new and exciting adventure that lies ahead.

I would recommend this certification to anyone who provides professional development, leads or coaches others as part of their job or who is looking to become a technology leader or coach at their school site.
