As a former k-8 teacher I quickly realized that teachers needed more technology training specific to them. Our students were craving digital integration into the classroom and we were falling behind and doing a disservice those students. After consulting in the Ed Tech field, I decided that Higher Education was the place for me. Fundamental change in our Schools of Education was needed. I now work at a major University in their School of Education, integrating ISTE technology standards into the teacher preparation programs, as well as in the graduate programs. I am also adjunct professor teaching technology courses in the Department for Urban Education.

I am excited to have participated in the inaugural Professional Learning Leader cohort, and will use the PLL certificate to enhance the many professional developments that I put on as well as in my teaching and in my administrative role at the University.
