Sorry for not perfect English, because is not my native language.

Recently, I was looking around in my workshop.

A lot of old, unfixed laptops, lie on cabinets, most of them had bad main boards, so old that not worth repairing but their LCD TFT displays should be OK .

As many before, I thought about any possibility to made those screens reusable, as additional monitors or TVs. Why not ?

Almost all modern laptop's screens are LVDS types, it is type of connection to data source/controller. That is good point to start.

Well, after little research, I realize that the only proper way to made them working, is to add LCD controller board .

So, here are described my experiences with LCD TFT screens from old laptops and monitors, how to reuse and back them to life.

I must admit that most pictures are not perfect, in real, screens looks a way better than on pictures on this web.
