La Ronde (Greenwich Village)
(Formerly "Mommy & Me")
This 45-minute music class in French will include a combination of classic French « comptines » as well as original music. Children will get to participate using various instruments (shakers, maracas, tambourines, etc.) and will be led to follow movements, sing along, dance, and play games all throughout the class. Each class will end with a short book, and of course, with the popular bubbles! Adults will be encouraged to participate, even if they do not speak French, and can expect to leave each class knowing a new French word.
The class will be led by Joséphine Ancelle, a French singer-songwriter, who also holds a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. She has been teaching music to preschoolers at La Petite École since 2012 and is the mother of twin toddler girls. She will be accompanied by professional guitarist Rémy de Laroque, who is one of our Artists in Residence.
For toddler from 12 until 30 months.
Time: From 9:45 am to 10:30 am
Class Registration Policy: REFUND & CANCELATIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Schedules and availability are subject to change. Registration does not guarantee the availability of any class. The minimum required number of registered students is three students for a class to occur. La Petite Ecole reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. In the event of a cancelled class, registered students who have paid tuition will have the option of enrolling in another class at no additional charge (if possible) or will receive a full refund of tuition paid.
Please note that we are unable to offer refunds or make-up classes for missed sessions, regardless of the reason for the absence, or in rare cases where a child may need to withdraw due to behavior concerns; this decision will only be made after a formal warning has been given to the child’s parent or guardian. Our goal is always to support every child in their learning journey, and we appreciate your understanding as we maintain a structured and nurturing space for all.
