YA but for the older teen reader. Multiple narrative perspectives from each of the "Bayview Four": four high school seniors accused of murdering their classmate Simon (who had a vindictive gossip app called About That) in detention. It's a great "murder mystery" with plenty of twists and also covers other important teen topics such as bullying, self-harm, consent. Like one of my other favourite YA reads, Eleanor and Park, one of my favourite parts was the blossoming romance between geeky Bronwyn and bad boy Nate - it reminds you of what it's like to be in love for the first time! I've read with a Year 12 'book club' and they're enjoying it too, highly recommend. I've subsequently read the sequel 'One of Us is Next' and cannot recommend it at all! It follows a similar storyline (Truth or Dare oriented) with three classmates from a few years below (and Maeve, Bronwyn's little sister) but I just... didn't care! It was boring.
