Emergency First-Aid

We offer both regulated and non-regulated skills based emergency aid training, covering:

  • Emergency Basic Life Support (3 Hours)

  • Signs & Symptoms of a Heart Attack

  • CPR

  • Unconscious casualty (who is still breathing)

  • Choking

  • Serious Bleeding

  • CPR/Recovery Position and use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) (2 Hours)

  • Emergency Aid for Voluntary Youth Leaders (8 Hours):

This course follows the syllabus required by The Scouting Association for it's leaders, but should meet the requirements of any youth organisation.

  • Principles of first-aid

  • Initial response to an emergency situation

  • Emergency Life Support (DRABC)

  • CPR, including technique for children

  • Shock and Anaphylaxis (allergic reactions)

  • and treatment of unconsciousness

  • Heat exhaustion, heatstroke, dehydration and hypothermia

  • Bleeding (major and minor) Minor injuries (for example cuts, grazes and nosebleeds)

  • Burns and scalds

  • Fractures and soft tissue injuries

  • Meningitis

  • Other courses can be devloped to suite your specific needs.
