On February 27, 2010 at 9:00 AM there will be a training session by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on detection and identification of Invasive Species. The training is for all Auxiliary Vessel Examiners, and will qualify them to conduct the Invasive Species Inspection of Vessels in Oregon.
As Vessel Examiners you will be able to conduct your Vessel Examination and then complete a five minute Invasive Species Inspection for the vessel operator. This is an excellent way to serve multiple agencies and help keep our waters safe and clean.
The Class will be held at 9:00 in the Salem Airport Fire Station Training room, located on the west side of the Salem Airport off 25th street. We have a limit of 40 positions so the first 40 to contact me via E-Mail will be accepted.
Please contact Earl Olson, our FSO-MT, if you are avaiable to attend this training.
