Fellow Guardians, Please join me in congratulating Flotilla 73 member Lynn Easton who was recently recognized by the Thirteenth Coast Guard District as Auxiliarist of the Week.
Officially Lynn was recognized for the week of 14 December 2009, but notification just reached my desk this afternoon.
Lynn was selected from a workforce of more than 1,800 members for his extraordinary efforts in support of the Coast Guard and District 13.
During 2009 Lynn not only held the position of FSO-PV, but also began working closely with Todd Mains, our Auxiliary Sector Coordinator. As time evolved, Lynn has began to work within the official capacity as Deputy Auxiliary Sector Coordinator which he holds today.
What's more, Lynn's other 2009 accomplishments include:
· Completed over 230 vessel safety examinations
· Successfully completed over 140 RBS partner visits
· Contributed over 43 hours in support of public education missions
· Assisted in over 68 hours of public affairs
Overall, Lynn spent contributed over 1800 hours to the Coast Guard in 2009.
Lynn's leadership and devotion to duty are in keeping with the finest traditions of Flotilla 73 and the United States Coast Guard.
Bravo Zulu shipmate!
