Portfolio Reflection Questions:
1. What are the main differences between Bill Nye's solar system model and the Second Life model?
- The main differences between Bill Nye's solar system model and the Second Life model is that the scale is not accurate on the Second Life model, however it does show the planet's orbits. The Bill Nye model accurately shows the proportional distances between each planet.
2. (POGIL) What would happen if there were lots more wolves than there are bunnies? Would the wolves live forever? Record your hypothesis, prediction and experiment results.
- If there were lots more wolves than there were bunnies, the wolf population would outlive the bunnies due to their consumption of the bunnies. However, the population of wolves would eventually die off because of the absence of their food source (the bunnies). The result of the experiment, proved our hypothesis to be accurate. The wolves initially started growing quickly, and then was steady for 35 iterations. The bunny population didn’t have a chance to grow at all because of their consumption by the wolves. Eventually, the wolf population sharply plummeted due to the absence of the bunnies, which was their food source.
