The Langevin function and truncated exponential distributions
http://arxiv.org/abs/1501.02535
This preprint dates from about 2006. It was rejected from an applications-related journal. It is getting cited as in arXiv. It won't be resubmitted in the present form. That the inverse Langevin function is a generalized Lambert W function is in the paper below with Mezo. Further work, complete monotonicity (?), Burniston-Siewert integral representations, may be possible.

The short version above has fewer results (but is more tightly focussed) than this earlier uwa effort also from 2010. (A journal said "too long", The revised short version is perhaps not ideal for that journal too, so rewrote it targetting Amer. Math. Monthly.)
