As a lifelong learner and teacher in numerous capacities, Katie's passion has always been education. After graduating with a master’s degree in Education, she found an amazing job opportunity in Washington, DC. In this role, she was running workshops and programs for the community on healthy lifestyles, including alcohol and drug education. Although she loved the work, the fast-paced environment and demanding culture lead to no balance in her life and physical symptoms of stress and exhaustion began to show. After years of living with chronic stress, it took a toll on her personal and professional life.
Katie took a leap of faith and left her DC career to land a job that matched her philosophy on caring for the whole person. She continues to educate others about the importance of holistic health and wellness with an added understanding of the connection between mental and physical health from her own life experiences. Since yoga practices were an essential component of her recovery, she felt called to become a yoga teacher.
With all of her knowledge and experience, Katie has created and implemented numerous presentations for local, regional, national, and international conferences as well as targeted programs for businesses, non-profit organizations, and a variety of groups on an array of health and wellness topics. After a few years of being invited to various organizations to share her knowledge, skills, and passion, she began her consulting business in 2017.
