Concerts

The band performs various crowd-pleasers, including marches,  Broadway show tunes, overtures, and popular favorites. 

Concerts begin at 7:00 pm in Kankakee's historic Bird Park.  The park is bordered on the east by the Kankakee River, on the west by Wall Street, on the north by Court Street (Illinois Route 17), and the south by Station Street.  The band performs at the Don Palzer Band Shell on the park's north side. 

Audience members are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.  Limited bleacher space is available. Restrooms are available. 

All band concerts are free and open to the public. Vehicles should enter the park from Wall Street and exit from Station Street.

Schedule Note: The band plays a special concert on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Kankakee Community College with the Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra (admission fee).
