Working with Conservation Science staff and partners to coordinate grant-funded and fee-for-service projects relating to water quality improvements, wildlife habitat, and public accessibility on public and private lands within the watersheds of Vermont. Project coordination and implementation of water quality best management practices on public and private lands.
Oversaw installation of infiltration steps, encapsulated soil lifts, shoreline gardens, open-top culverts, riparian buffers, rain gardens, bioswales, and other practices designed to treat stormwater and improve water quality in surface waters.
Managed Kent Farm Bird Observatory and Banding Station. Coordinated field work in different states concurrently and provided training to personnel for outdoor safety and field work techniques.
Managed 30-year ongoing research in wild population of Dark-eyed Juncos and various projects focused on mate choice and reproductive timing in Dark-eyed Juncos at Mountain Lake Biological Station in Pembroke, VA.
Monitored and inventoried Iowan wildlife and plant populations in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife. Coordinated scheduling of reptile, amphibian, odonate, and mammal surveys for 16 different sites.
Aided in long term migratory data collection for migrating passerines, diurnal raptors and owls at Hawk Ridge, MN.
Banded 945 individuals of over 30 migrating bird species.
Conducted population monitoring of Yellow-billed Cuckoos on the lower Colorado River in AZ and CA in collaboration with Bureau of Reclamation and USFWS.
Monitored wild population of Gouldian finches, Crimson finches, and Frill-necked lizards for studies in conservation and behavioral ecology.
Monitored population of color banded Superb fairy-wrens and studied seasonal change in female song.
Reviewed and updated wildlife importation lists for VT Dept of F&W database to ensure accuracy of scientific names and amending lists to reflect recent salamander restrictions by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service

Cared for livestock including coop/stall cleaning, food preparation, egg collecting, and managing animal routines. Assisted with greenhouse operations including plant care, harvesting and pest removal. Assisted with general farm duties such as fence repair, compost management, and trail maintenance.
