Achievement: Recognized talented young engineers showing potential to have great impact on the thermal field, which is judged to be of exceptional technical research quality, publications, contributions, and leadership and teaching roles in the community and, in particular, K-16 sponsored conferences, programs, and events.
Qualifications:
Nominee must be within 10 years of earning their last degree. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Email the leadership team to discuss.
Nominee must have, in the preceding year, contributed to K-16 sponsored activities (ITherm, SHTC, InterPACK, and IMECE), organizational meetings and events, and/or affiliated journals (Journal of Electronics Packaging, Journal of Heat Transfer, Transactions of CPMT).
Nominee must be an active or aspiring K-16 member.

Prof. Solomon Adera earned his Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. He was a postdoctoral associate at the Harvard University before moving to the University of Michigan. His research interests include heat and mass transfer, phase-change (evaporation, condensation, freezing), water/fog harvesting, micro/nanoengineering, and fluid-structure interactions.
