How to Join ASME K-16

Individuals who are interested in joining the K-16 Committee will be admitted as Aspiring Member until they meet the requirements of Full Member (with voting rights). Aspiring members will be added to the email list (asme-k16 at googlegroups.com and asme.gr.k16 at gmail.com) and LinkedIn group to ensure they receive all communications from K-16.  Make sure to put asme-k16 at googlegroups.com on your email safelist to ensure receipt of the email communications.

To be admitted as full member, the following requirements need to be satisfied: 

• Attended at least two K-16 Committee meetings in a two year time frame (one meeting attendance can be online through virtual meeting) 

• Assisted and co-organized a minimum of three technical Tracks, Technical Sessions, Poster Sessions, Panels, or other K-16 sponsored activities at InterPack, ITherm, IMECE, and/or SHTC. 

Once the criteria shown above are met, the applicant should contact the K-16 Executive Committee (asme.gr.k16 at gmail.com) with documenting the meeting attendance and highlighting activities within K-16. The candidate's resume can simply have those activities highlighted or a standalone list of K-16 related activities can be included in the email body. 

The officers will then vote for and by simple majority decide whether to accept or reject the candidacy.
