2026 SCHEDULE

Pistol, Smoothbore, and Specialty Shoots - 1st Saturday of the month.

Monthly Shoot and Membership Meeting (except December) - 3rd Saturday of the month.

All shoots will start at 10:00 AM.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Hope everyone is well……

Weather permitting, our next shoot, August 15th, will be a Woods Walk.  Eight stations with a total of 17 shots.  Will probably be the same layout as last time.  If you’re new and are unfamiliar with a “Woods Walk” email me.  There isn’t a shoot fee but each participant should bring a “blanket prize” .   It should be an item of INTEREST to a shooter, reenactor, or outdoorsman with a value of $15 or more.   Please arrive and be prepared for a “shotgun” start at 10:00 AM.

OVPR

The Olde Virginia Primitive Riflemen will be holding their Fall Rendezvous October 22nd – 25th in Smithfield.  If you would like to learn what its about or get involved in Living History it’s a great place to start.  They allow visitors on Saturday between 9 AM and 4 PM.   They have changed the rule some so visitors will need to check in and complete a waiver.  There is no fee for visiting but if you would like to participate in any of the shooting matches or other activities you will need to register.    We usually set up a tarp / rest area for club visitors near the registration hut. 

OCTOBER INVITATIONAL WOODS WALK

As we have done in the past, we will have a Woods Walk the Saturday ( Oct 17th ) before OVPR and invite the early campers up to participate.  A great opportunity for our members to meet other shooters with like interests.

BERKELEY PLANTATION

We will again set up a demonstration area at the “First Thanksgiving” celebration November 1st.  They have asked that we do another shooting demo but it will be limited to 30 minutes this time due to special 250th anniversary programs.  Please let me know if you would like to participate.  This is the one event we do require period clothing and equipment.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Per our by-laws, we begin collecting dues October 1st and they are considered past do January 1st.  It is also time too update our liability waivers so a copy is attached.   Please bring to the next event or mail your dues and waiver to:
