JAMES RIVER BLACK POWDER CLUB

2026 SCHEDULE

Pistol, Smoothbore, and Specialty Shoots - 1st Saturday of the month.

Monthly Shoot and Membership Meeting (except December) - 3rd Saturday of the month.

All shoots will start at 10:00 AM.

EVENT START TIMES

We have traditionally changed our shoot start times every spring to 9:00 AM. As we discussed in Saturday's meeting, all events will start at 10:00 AM all year round.

WORK DAY

Need all hands on deck for the April 4th workday. Many projects but the priority will be on rebuilding the 100 yard backstop and target frames.

Weather permitting, we will have a work day April 4th instead of the Smoothbore and Pistol shoots. Will discuss more at this Saturday’s meeting but we need all hands on deck. Projects include:

Total rebuild of 100 yard backstop and backers
Replace 50 yard target backers
Pre-emptively drop dead trees along incoming road and in camp area
General camp area cleanup.
Stow shelter side curtains
Clean out / empty front shed
Build skirt at back of hooter to prevent rain entry.
Woods Walk Maintenance
Consolidate, clean, and repaint silhouettes
Dump run

Reminder that we have a workday scheduled for this Saturday. Bring work gloves and tools to complete tasks on the list if you have them.

MEMBERSHIP DUES

Per our by-laws, we begin collecting dues October 1st and they are considered past do January 1st. It is also time too update our liability waivers so a copy is attached. Please bring to the next event or mail your dues and waiver to:
