JAMES RIVER BLACK POWDER CLUB

2026 SCHEDULE

Pistol, Smoothbore, and Specialty Shoots - 1st Saturday of the month.

Monthly Shoot and Membership Meeting (except December) - 3rd Saturday of the month.

All shoots will start at 10:00 AM.

EVENT START TIMES

We have traditionally changed our shoot start times every spring to 9:00 AM.  As we discussed in Saturday's meeting, all events will start at 10:00 AM all year round. 

OVPR

Olde Virginia Primitive Riflemen will be hosting their spring rendezvous March 26th through the 29th.  If you haven't been I encourage you to at least visit on Saturday.  Competitions include woods walks for rifle and smoothbore, as well as matches for pistol, archery, and hawk/knife.  Registration forms are on their website OVPR.ORG under the "Events" tab.  You do not need to register if you're just visiting.

MARCH WOODS WALK

Weather permitting, we will have a Woods walk March 21st.  If raining, we'll have a combination novelty shoot from under cover.   As we did last fall, we will invite early arrivals at OVPR to participate.  Three came last time and seemed to enjoy it.

WORK DAY

Need all hands on deck for the April 4th workday.  Many projects but the priority will be on rebuilding the 100 yard backstop and target frames.

Per our by-laws, we begin collecting dues October 1st and they are considered past do January 1st.  It is also time too update our liability waivers so a copy is attached.   Please bring to the next event or mail your dues and waiver to:
