JAMES RIVER BLACK POWDER CLUB

2026 SCHEDULE

Pistol, Smoothbore, and Specialty Shoots - 1st Saturday of the month.

Monthly Shoot and Membership Meeting (except December) - 3rd Saturday of the month.

All shoots will start at 10:00 AM.

FAMILY FROLIC

The June Family Frolic is being reduced to a one day event as discussed at the May meeting.

There will not be a Bob Lee Memorial Offhand shoot Sunday.

Plan for a full day Saturday June 20th.

9:30 AM:   We will have a 9:30 AM shotgun start for the Rifle Woods Walk.  Please arrive early enough so you are ready and prepared to start on time.  Each participant should bring a “Blanket Prize” item that would be of interest to a shooter / outdoorsman with a value of $15 or more.

12:00 PM:    Lunch and social time.   Burgers, dogs, potato salad, and drinks will be provided by the club. Bring a desert for your self and a few others if you are willing.  I could use some volunteers to prep, grill, and clean up.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND AND IF YOU’RE BRINGING GUESTS so I can buy the food.

2:00 PM:   Second annual Brock Jones memorial Squirrel hunt, a Novelty Shoot, and a “Split the Pot” Pole shoot.

JULY 4th

Come celebrate our Independence Day by shooting Red Coats at 25, 50, and 100 yards.   We will also eat any leftovers from the June Picnic.

Per our by-laws, we begin collecting dues October 1st and they are considered past do January 1st.  It is also time too update our liability waivers so a copy is attached.   Please bring to the next event or mail your dues and waiver to:
