Now it is time to have a go at creating something.
Remember what you learnt in task 4 - Vectric is the software company they sell 'Varve Pro' and a version that is exactly the same for use with the ShopBot CNC tool called 'PartWorks' the tutorials are interchangeable
With this in mind watch the video (here) all the way through
The Bulls_Head.dxf is (here)
Now restart the video and stop and start it and follow it using PartWorks on your computer.
at 1:00 - The Bulls_Head.DXF is in on the link above right - download and save it, so you can find it, before you start.
at 1:45 - During Setup - Make sure you work in metric - 305mm by 115mm by 12.7mm.
at 7:35 - Rapid clearance = 12mm.
at 8:00 - Home Z = 25mm.
at 8:50 - Select any 90Degree Vee cutter (we will have to reselect on the Cad Suite PC).
at 12:30 - Post processor ShopBot (arcs)(mm)(w/SPEED)(*.SBP).
at 15:30 - File Save - You need to save your file before you eject the USB stick containing part file for use on the CNC machine
Question - There are three different files types used in this tutorial. Can you name them?
Good luck
Martin
