First we are going to create a template that will contain all your preferred AutoSketch settings. If you get this right you only need to do it once.
If you can download and print the 2d CAD Practice AutoSketch Initialisation (here). Work through all the different 'setting' to your needs. Although not on the sheet pay particular attention to [Tools][Customise Commands] [Folder] to set the location of your drawings folder. When you have done this save the 'blank' page as a template give it a name that will remind you its your template.. eg.. A3 Template. Later you can use Windows File Explorer to copy this file to the AutoSketch Templates Folder (Program Files\Autodesk\AutoSketch\Templates). You can use the template tab next time you start AutoSketch. While you are accessing the Templates Directory you may want to Create a new folder (Archive) and move all the supplied templates there, this will make it easier to find your own templates when you need them.
Then we are going to use what you have learnt in Task 1 to layout the design options for the study. Start by down loading "Laura Study.SKP" and place it in your drawings folder.
Start AutoSketch and open this Laura Study drawing. Immediately save_as this file with a name of your own so you can reload the 'master' if you make a mistake. You should work on your copy.
Where to start, well remember you can draw lines as a guide then delete them later. Perhaps start with a rectangle the size of one of the container 'boxes', then offset this rectangle by 25mm or so to represent the 'opening' needed in the shelves. Now with [Snap] off [Rubber stamp] copy this up and down and left and right to get some ideas.
if the dimension text and arrows are not what you want use the format dimensions icon in the top left of the properties toolbar.
Best of Luck
Martin
