Remember we are using AutoSKETCH release 5 and the tutorials are of a later version so some things are slightly different for example the entering text in version 5 is done via a dialogue try it...
If we are preparing drawings for CNC then it is best not to have two lines on top of each other like at 3:47 and 6:00 minutes on tutorial part 7. In that situation try offset then trim corner or edge. If, as in that situation, we have multiple lines that we want to make one continuous single line then we can use trim join, if when you are using join it 'pings' and the lines don't join then they don't intersect.
