Dear Dave & Jackie
Thank you both for the lovely invitation to your reunion. How I wish I could attend! I've always wanted to once again. We were at one in the 50's when we lived in Eugene Ore for 14 months. I think its so wonderful your family can do this once a year.
At first when I read your envelope, I though how did this Co. get my name? And was so surprised to see who it was from and the reason. Then I though who does Dave belong to? And this A.M. Don & Florence N. called and I found out Henry is your Dad.
My youngest grandson (Rich Nelson) Sheryls family loves his motorcycle. He's more daring than his mother or his grandmother wants him to be, but he loves it. Memorial wkend he was in Yanktown (?) S.D. to race. He also likes to go to Spearfish S.D. when they all gather there. He and his friends have fixed a track on one of the friends farms where they ride a lot together & have fun.
Last time I talked to Laura in Calif and told here Rich is our only motorcycle lover and more daring then we like him to be. Laura said "tell him to come. He would like Dave. He's a great guy." Rich drives truck on long hauls and also works on a farm. He has been a Duputy Co. Sheriff in Antelope Co. and tried patrol man at McCash (?) Nebr for awhile but wasn't happy there. So he's back here again. He also has gone to school for the Rescue Squad but missed the exam by 2 points.
Myself--I'm fighting my 3rd cancer. First in 88-89. Then 99 and now again. Have been on Chemo 19 months, but my cancer is winning this time I guess. I'm so tired. Weak and haven't eaten solids for 4 wks. Just liquids. My hand writing is terrible. Hope you can read it, and my heart and thoughs will be with all of you for the 17th of Aug.
Dolly Hansen is also on chemo, and my daughter in law is who got very sick from it.
I was truly happy to get your invitation and to learn of your business. (inside)
