Physics Research Building #1111
Hello, I'm Zoe. I'm originally from the Metro Detroit area, and I started my physics career at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. There I joined Dr. Oana Malis's condensed matter research group where I prepared semiconductor samples and optically characterized them using FT-IR. As an undergrad, I also participated in an REU at University of South Florida where I worked with Dr. Humberto Gutierrez's group growing 2D materials using CVD and characterizing them using Raman spectroscopy. In 2019, I graduated from Purdue with a B.S in Physics and Mathematics, and joined the Ohio State Physics Graduate Program. In my free time I like to sew clothes, crochet, knit, make stained glass, make furniture, and play with my dog Olive.
Area Of Research: 2D Materials
Current Research: As a member of the Johnston-Halperin group I work on molecular qubit devices using 2D materials.
