1963-64: Amid the emergence of early suspicions, the Warren Commission makes its stand.

1965: The first of the long-time "first-generation" critics appear in print. A Commission member reiterates the official findings.

1966: Epstein and Lane publish.

1967: The Death of a President controversy. Books hostile to conspiracy claims appear. Meagher and Thompson publish.

1968-69: Controversy tires as Garrison is discredited.
