Artifacts and Narrative:
i) In my role as chair of the Math Department, I tried to assist other teachers to incorporate technology into their classroom. I strongly feel my department was way above the curve in this respect. We each have an interactive white board in our rooms, and use it daily with our prepared lessons. All annotations made are then saved and the day's notes are posted onto each teacher's website. Students tell us they love that they can go over the day's notes at their own
pace. On days when videos and screencasts are made, they can pause, or repeat any part they want. As I am now teaching in China, I sorely miss this tech
tool that made BSM a leader in student learning.
ii) As a way to help keep the department up to date with trends and technology, I have both a Symbaloo page and a Scoop It page. The Prezi that I have added a link to is a presentation the BSM Parent's Association asked me to do in November 2014. A Prezi is similar to a Power Point for an alternate way to give a presentation.
