Artifacts and Narrative
i) A "mind map" is a diagram used to visually organize information. Below are copies of two mind maps I made using MindMeister. Both of
them will help students see the bigger picture of Geometry proofs. I have not paid for a subscription upgrade, and hence cannot share the
information live.
ii) I developed a video story board as a first step in making a Calculus movie: Storyboard for calculus song parody
iii) Here is the finished Calculus song: We Got This! A BSM Calculus Parody
iv) I also have included a pdf file of one of my class webpages. This is an example of my AP Calculus BC class page for chapter 5. Only students and
parents who are in the class can access these pages, but it is extremely helpful to my students. I post several different things regularly on the page.
Most used are the daily notes made on my interactive white board, next are all worksheets and handouts, then a variety of links to screencasts that I
have on my youtube channel. The students particularly like these if they missed a lesson or are struggling with a topic. They can pause, rewind and
listen again when necessary.
