his year, our core elective class has moved away from the labs, experiments, and engineering projects and is more involved in the leadership, confidence, and networking skills we need to succeed. There are still some building projects with a more hands-off approach from our teacher. This year we also only have one teacher, Mr. Setaro. Mr. Kuzan is now our STEM AP Physics teacher. This year is very academically challenging within the program due to a lack of straightforward worksheets and notes. We are now given a goal and sent out to achieve it, such as: building a catapult, designing and advertising an original product, pitching ideas to a panel of the older STEM students, and even getting into contact with a professional about our science fair projects. STEM III has allowed us to be more confident, gain contacts within professional fields, and improve our presenting skills to a large, unknown group. My Junior year schedule includes US History II Honors with Mrs. Sullivan, German III Honors with Mr. Fritz, STEM AP Physics with Mr. Kuzan, AP English Language and Composition with Mr. Savage and later Mr. Schwindinger, STEM PreCalculus Honors with Mrs. Ruffalo, Fine Art II with Mrs. Hoffman, and STEM Core III with Mr. Setaro.
