Currently our main priorities lie in executing the forest plan for "Taubensuhl", a district forest of the city Landau, Germany. The forest is found in the "Pfalzisch Natur Forst" and is set in a Buntsanstein mountain range in the southwest of Germany just north of France. Dan Morovitz and Jared David May are responsible for fulfilling the non-commercial aspects of the 10 year forest plan which include: Planting, Site Improvement, non-commercial thinning, Hochastung (pruning), watering, Hunting Stand Maintenance, Slash Removal, Educational School Excursions, and related activities. Together we organize a varying group of retirees, students, and welfare recipients to fulfill work contracts as prescribed by the forester. Our specialty is ensuring sapling survival in well drain, highly eroded periglacial material on steep southern exposures. Both of us have higher degrees in forestry (Dan: Dendrocronology, Jared: Tree Nutrition) and have many years of experience in the forest industries. Our motto is: "Geht nichts, Geht nichts!!!"Here you can find some images from our work this spring (2009): Forestry ImagesAs part of our ongoing efforts to improve forest conditions and enhance the value of the forest products, we are addressing the potential of exporting Oak & Beech to SE Asia. Project "Oak" will include our international trading partners and will synchronize the efforts of JaredDavidCorp & TraderOrca.
