Caroline Agnes Mcvicar
On 9/11/1888, Caroline, 33, a domestic, whose father James was a miner, married Mungo Watson Brown, Cordial Manufacturer, a bachelor, aged 43, whose father was a deceased storekeeper, at the residence of James McVicar, presumably her brother, Avoca. The witnesses were the bride's siblings, Alexander John and Eliza Frances McVicar.
Records show that in 1900, the Browns were ratepayers at No.1 Creek. It is known that they lived on what became the property of William Ford, which became a very popular strawberry garden and picnic spot. Caroline died in 1912 at Maryborough.
