Fiona Conroy Memorial Fund

Fiona Conroy was a remarkable and inspiring Kenyan woman who sadly passed away far too young in 2013. As a memorial to Fiona, her family and friends have set up a specific fund through Jalia to support the provision of education for young women in Kenya. To date more than £11k has been raised. Simon Conroy has told us 'This is all in memory of my sister-in-law Fiona who recently passed away but her remaining legacy of being an educated Kenyan female will continue on in the charity work of Jalia'.

Secondary education is not free in Kenya and many able children miss out because their families cannot afford the fees. Jalia used Fiona's fund to support five very special young women through their entire secondary education.
