Jalia Comedy Night

The lovely people at Nice N' Spiky Comedy worked with Jalia to raise £600.37 at a fundraising comedy night on 28 March 2012 at The Garage in Highbury and Islington. The night was a sell out with more than 50 people attending to see the great line up, which included Shazia Mirza, Haiste & Lawrence, Keith Bone, Clara Electra, Robin & Partridge, Jay Foreman and MC Sion James.

The venue, comedians and organisation of the night was all given for free - meaning that every penny we took has gone directly to Jalia to help send disadvantaged kids in Kenya to school. To put it into context, £600.37 is enough to:

- support two high school kids through their education for a whole year, or

- give 60 Kenyan kids a new pair of school shoes, or

- buy 120 school text books, or

- provide 8 kids with school meals for a whole year.
