Jalia's Summer Tea Party
We held our first Summer Tea Party on Monday 20 June at the Poole Park Cricket Pavilion and were thrilled to raise £434.50 to support our work in Kenya. That is enough for us to provide a Kenyan child with secondary education for a year and a half, or to feed 43 primary kids breakfast and lunch for a whole month.
Jalia would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and to the following organisations for donating items for our raffle:
Larmer Tree Festival - Hall & Woodhouse - Moors Valley Country Park - Farmer Palmer's - Urban Reef - Poole Land Train - Treehouse Family Play - Highcliffe Castle - Cafe Boscanova - Sculpture by the Lakes - Compton Acres - Stewarts Garden Centres - Courtyard Tea Rooms - Ryvita - Chiquito
Jalia is a small UK based charity which raises money to support education and community development in Kenya. Every penny we raise at our Tea Party will go directly to supporting the children and projects that we work with - take a look at our What We Do pages to find out more and remember to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
