Ed and Rhoda Goldstein have been involved with girls’ softball for more than 13 years. They have been involved with the 1969 National Champions Major Bobby Sox and the 1972 National Champions Minor Bobby Sox.

Ed and Rhoda were instrumental in taking the Orange Lionettes, a top ranked amateur team for 39 years, into the newly formed I.W.P.S.A. last season. The Lionettes finished second and made the national playoffs.

Prior to this season when the league Board of Directors met, Ed was elected as vice president of the W.P.S.

Their untiring efforts and faith in the future of the Southern California WPS franchise has served as an example of all of us involved in the formation, sales and promotion of the Lionettes. The players and staff are thankful that the Goldsteins have had the courage and persevervance to maintain a women’s pro franchise in Southern California.
