Ed Goldstein is a Fullerton resident. He and Rhoda, his wife, have 3 daughters and a son. The two oldest daughters, Linda and Ellen, are in college while high schooler, Ruthie, and 9-year-old Mike keep their parents on the go.
Ed and Rhoda have coached and managed Bobby Sox teams for some 12 years. Ruthie is now in her final year of competition in the Fullerton Hills league. Mike is a Little Leaguer who dreams of becoming a hockey player.
Ed looks upon the pro franchise he holds as a family venture. His interest in the Lionettes came about because of their quality play through the years. He felt that with an Orange County franchise, the Lionettes were the obvious group to begin with as they were synonymous with championship softball in the area.
He is a former San Francisco corporate lawyer who now is president of Glass Containers Corp. His firm manufactures bottles in 12 plants throughout the United States.
The Lionettes are looking forward to many successful years with the Goldsteins. It is to Ed’s credit the pro softball, at least in Orange County, is on the move.
