Honey Glazed Fried Wonton Chips

INGREDIENTS:

1 12-ounce pack wonton wraps, sliced in half diagonally

3/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons butter

4 teaspoons sesame seeds

vegetable, canola, or any neutral oil with a high smoke point for frying

INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Preheat a large skillet to 350°F with 1-inch oil.
    2. Add 6 to 8 wontons at a time to the hot oil. Do not over crowd.
    3. Fry until golden brown (about 1 minute per side), turning wontons over halfway.
    4. Transfer on a baking sheet equip with a cooling rack to drain oil.
    5. Continue frying the remaining wonton wraps.
    6. Heat honey and butter on the stovetop of microwave until butter is melted.
    7. Brush the top of each wonton with honey mixture.
    8. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
    9. Could be kept at room temperature but best stored refrigerated to refrigerated for maximum crispiness.

Makes about 100 wonton chips.
