SOLO JESÚS

La declaración enfática, "La salvación se encuentra solo en Jesucristo" puede confundir, sorprender o incluso ofender algunos, pero aun así es cierto. La Biblia enseña que no hay otra forma de salvación que a través de Jesucristo. Jesús mismo dice en Juan 14:6: “… Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.” Él no es un camino, como si fuese uno de muchos; Él es el camino, el único camino. Nadie, independientemente de su buena reputación, logros, conocimiento individual o santidad personal, puede venir a Dios el Padre, excepto a través de Jesús. SOLO JESÚS DEBE SER EL LEMA DE NUESTRAS VIDAS.

Jesús es el único camino al cielo por varias razones.

1. Jesús fue “elegido por Dio” para ser el Salvador (1 Pedro 2:4)

2. Jesús es el único que bajó del cielo y regresó allí (Juan 3:13)

3. Él es la única persona que ha vivido una vida humana perfecta (Hebreos 4:15)

4. Él es el único sacrificio aceptable para el pecado (1 Juan 2:2; Hebreos 10:26)

5. Él solo cumplió la Ley y los Profetas (Mateo 5:17)

6. Él es el único hombre que ha conquistado la muerte para siempre (Hebreos 2:4-15)

7. Él es el único mediador entre Dios y el hombre (1 Timoteo 2:5)

8. Él es el único hombre a quien Dios ha “exaltado”. . . al lugar más alto” (Filipenses 2:9)

Jesús habló de sí mismo como el único camino de salvación en varios lugares además de Juan 14:6.

1. Se presentó a sí mismo como la esencia de la fe (Mateo 7:21–27)

2. Dijo que sus palabras son vida (Juan 6:63)

3. Prometió que los que creen en Él tendrán vida eterna (Juan 3:14-15)

4. Él es la puerta de las ovejas (Juan 10:7)

5. Él es el pan de vida (Juan 6:35)

6. Él es la resurrección (Juan 11:25)

7. Nadie más puede reclamar esos títulos sino solo Cristo Jesús.

LA PREDICACIÓN DE LOS APÓSTOLES SE CENTRÓ EN LA MUERTE Y RESURRECCIÓN DEL SEÑOR JESÚS.

PEDRO, hablando al concilio, claramente proclamó a Jesús como el único camino al cielo: “Y en ningún otro hay salvación; porque no hay otro nombre bajo el cielo, dado a los hombres, en que podamos ser salvos.” (Hechos 4:12).

PABLO, hablando en la sinagoga en Antioquía, señaló a Jesús como el Salvador: “38 Sabed, pues, esto, varones hermanos: que por medio de él se os anuncia perdón de pecados, 39 y que de todo aquello de que por la ley de Moisés no pudisteis ser justificados, en él es justificado todo aquel que cree.” (Hechos 13:38–39).

JUAN, escribiendo a la iglesia en general, especifica el nombre de Cristo como la base de nuestro perdón: “Os escribo a vosotros, hijitos, porque vuestros pecados os han sido perdonados por su nombre.” (1 Juan 2:12).

Nadie más, sino solo Jesús puede perdonar los pecados, por lo tanto, la vida eterna se hace posible solo a través de Cristo. Jesús oró: “Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.” (Juan 17:3).

Para recibir de Dios el regalo de salvación GRATUITO debemos mirar a Jesús y solo a Jesús. Debemos confiar en la MUERTE de Jesús en la cruz como el pago completo por nuestros pecados, y debemos confiar en su RESURRECCIÓN. [Énfasis añadido]

“21…se ha manifestado la justicia de Dios, testificada por la ley y por los profetas; 22 la justicia de Dios por medio de la fe en Jesucristo, para todos los que creen en él…” (Romanos 3:21-22).

Durante el ministerio de Jesús, muchos de la multitud le estaban dando la espalda y se alejaban de El con la esperanza de encontrar a otro salvador. Jesús les preguntó a los Doce: “… ¿Queréis acaso iros también vosotros?” (Juan 6:67) La respuesta de Pedro es exactamente correcta: “68 Le respondió Simón Pedro: Señor, ¿a quién iremos? Tú tienes palabras de vida eterna. 69 Y nosotros hemos creído y conocemos que tú eres el Cristo, el Hijo del Dios viviente.” (Juan 6:68–69).

Todos debemos compartir la fe de Pedro de que la vida eterna se encuentra solo en Jesucristo. La salvación se ofreció libremente a toda la humanidad, “8 Porque por gracia sois salvos por medio de la fe; y esto no de vosotros, pues es don de Dios; 9 no por obras, para que nadie se gloríe.” (Efesios 2:8-9).

Sin embargo, debemos aceptar el regalo de salvación de Dios obedeciendo Su evangelio de salvación.

Romanos 1:16-17 “16 Porque no me avergüenzo del evangelio, porque es poder de Dios para salvación a todo aquel que cree; al judío primeramente, y también al griego. 17 Porque en el evangelio la justicia de Dios se revela por fe y para fe, como está escrito: Mas el justo por la fe vivirá.”

SI HAS PUESTO TU CONFIANZA PARA TU SALVACIÓN EN ALGO O EN ALGUIEN QUE NO SEA JESUCRISTO, EL HIJO DE DIOS, NECESITAS RECONSIDERAR TU SALVACIÓN.

¿HAS ENTREGADO TU VIDA SOLO A CRISTO JESÚS?

¿HAS RECIBIDO SU REGALO DE SALVACIÓN?

The emphatic statement, “Salvation is found only in Jesus Christ” may confuse, surprise, or even offend, but it is true, nonetheless. The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “… I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” He is not a way, as in one of many; He is the way, as in the one and only. No one, regardless of reputation, achievement, special knowledge, or personal holiness, can come to God the Father except through Jesus. JESUS ONLY MUST BE OUR MOTO FOR LIFE.

Jesus is the only way to heaven for several reasons.

1. Jesus was “chosen by God” to be the Savior (1 Peter 2:4)

2. Jesus is the only One to have come down from heaven and returned there (John 3:13)

3. He is the only person to have lived a perfect human life (Hebrews 4:15)

4. He is the only acceptable sacrifice for sin (1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:26)

5. He alone fulfilled the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17)

6. He is the only man to have conquered death forever (Hebrews 2:14–15)

7. He is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5)

8. He is the only man whom God has “exalted . . . to the highest place” (Philippians 2:9)

Jesus spoke of Himself as the only way of salvation in several places besides John 14:6.

1. He presented Himself as the object of faith in (Matthew 7:21–27)

2. He said His words are life (John 6:63)

3. He promised that those who believe in Him will have eternal life (John 3:14–15)

4. He is the gate of the sheep (John 10:7)

5. He is the bread of life (John 6:35)

6. He is the resurrection (John 11:25)

7. No one else can rightly claim those titles

THE APOSTLES’ PREACHING FOCUSED ON THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF THE LORD JESUS.

PETER, speaking to the Sanhedrin, clearly proclaimed Jesus as the only way to heaven: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

PAUL, speaking to the synagogue in Antioch, singled out Jesus as the Savior: “I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin” (Acts 13:38–39).

JOHN, writing to the church at large, specifies the name of Christ as the basis of our forgiveness: “I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name” (1 John 2:12).

No one, but Jesus can forgive sin, hence, Eternal Life in heaven is made possible only through Christ. Jesus prayed, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).

To receive God’s FREE gift of salvation, we must look to Jesus and Jesus alone. We must trust in Jesus’ DEATH on the cross as our payment for sin and in His RESURRECTION. [Emphasis added]

“This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe” (Romans 3:22).

At one point in Jesus’ ministry, many of the crowd were turning their backs on Him and leaving in hopes of finding another savior. Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” (John 6:67). Peter’s reply is exactly right: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God” (John 6:68–69).

We must all share Peter’s faith that eternal life resides only in Jesus Christ. Salvation offered freely to all humanity, “8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8)

However, we must accept God’s gift of salvation by obeying his gospel of salvation.

Romans 1:16-17, 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

IF YOU HAVE PLACED YOUR TRUST FOR SALVATION ON SOMETHING OR SOMEONE OTHER THAN JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD, YOU NEED TO RECONSIDER YOUR SALVATION.

HAVE YOU SURRENDERED YOUR LIFE ONLY TO CHRIST JESUS?

HAVE YOU RECEIVED HIS GIFT OF SALVATION?
