Meta

Meta was a very exciting collaborative project between the iDCNlab and Cardboard Citizens funded by a Wellcome Trust Large Arts Awards. 

The project, led by Tony McBride, involved the development of a forum theatre play called Meta focusing on the teenage brain and self-regulation and metacognition during adolescence. The play toured in schools in Tower Hamlet to adolescent audiences and a few additional representations were presented to a broader adult audience. 

This project followed on from a previous project called A matter of mind, and allowed the evaluation of forum theatre as a tool to engage teenagers in science and develop their awareness of the self-regulation challenges of adolescence.
