eDecision: Casino Dates Options

Hi everyone,

Earlier this week, we were informed that our next casino is scheduled for July 20 & 21 (Fri/Sat). It's been ages (ever??) since we've had a casino in the summer, and I know that it will be problematic both for board members and for getting volunteers during those holiday months. (For example, Nizar and I are not here during those dates in July - and we each work 2 shifts each for every casino...so that's 4 shifts total.)

Through talks with our casino advisor Linda, she has managed to secure new dates with us for another group that is booked at the same casino venue (Starlight Casino, formerly Palace Casino at West Edmonton Mall) within the same quarter (July-Aug-Sept). This switch (i.e. within the same quarter, with the same casino advisor and at the same casino) is the least problematic kind of switch because it can be handled by our casino advisor and it will not give us a black mark as a trouble-making group (which could cause AGLC to bump us and not give us dates as routinely as before) . So, we have confirmation that we can switch to August 19 & 20 (Sun/Mon). Unfortunately, Tracy (our casino advisor) will be away for these new dates.

Linda informs me today that she has another group that may switch our new August dates to September 2 & 3 (Sun/Mon). She will find our from their casino advisor on Monday. HOWEVER, because this is a long weekend I want to check with all of you to see which weekend will be better for the majority of us. Please enter your vote for your choice of the following in the comment section of this thread:

1. August 19 & 20 (Sun/Mom) at Starlight Casino
2. September 2 & 3 (Sun/Mon) at Starlight Casino
3. Either are fine
