Here in the UK the popular press and Parliament have recently decided that "algorithms" are the subject du jour of some concern. I think they are catching up with the Americans on this. We're working on a manuscript on the topic, about what we call humane algorithms that use checks to self-police their own fairness and correctness, but also offer meaningful user-friendliness to the people who have to interact with them. I was wondering if you could recommend a journal that might be appropriate for such a paper. Has this topic already been done to death?
