I was initiated in Sigma Tau Delta in Spring 2015, but I started working on Marietta College's Literary Magazine, Pulse, in Spring 2014.
Sigma Tau Delta is an English Honor Society, and the organization at my school simply works on the literary magazine on campus: Pulse.
This is the first Pulse that I helped edit, and I published fiction short story "Pieces" in this magazine - my first publication. This was freshman year of undergrad, when I was still a Geology major and English minor. Therefore, I wasn't eligible to join Sigma Tau Delta yet, but I was considered a "minion editor."
This is the second Pulse that I helped edit, and I published fiction short story "Distraction: A Girl's Best Friend," as well as "Anna, You Need A New Couch" in this 2014-2015 magazine. I was now considered a "Co-Editor" and I switched from a Geology major/English minor to an English major (with a Concentration in Creative Writing)/Geology minor during Spring 2015 - so, I was officially initiated into Sigma Tau Delta in April 2015.
This is the third Pulse that I helped edit, and I published fiction short story "The Lesser of Two Evils" in the print version, and I also published fiction short stories "Now You Know" and "My Escape" in the electronic extended cut version.
During this year, I became the Secretary, Historian, and Treasurer of Sigma Tau Delta, and I was now considered a "Senior Editor."
My job included sending out campus-wide emails to advertise for the magazine. These emails look something like this:

The chief editor, Emily, evenly split up the amount of work for each senior editor (and also for minion editors). Every editor read through and commented on their assigned pieces, and then we scored the pieces on a scale from 1-10 in regards to flow, creativity, interest, and word choice.
After the editing was completed (usually after Winter break), we sent the original writers their pieces back with the corrections that they needed to make. Then once all of the original writers revised their pieces and sent them back to us, we reached out to the Graphic Design department on campus to help us design the magazine.
Once that was completed, we began printing the magazines, and then we handed them out in April on "All Scholars Day" - a day in which students present their internship experiences and/or capstone project in the DBRC (the gym).
We set up a table in which people walking by could easily pick up a copy.
I did not have any short stories published in the Spring 2017 magazine, so I will only have 6 of my own creative writing pieces published during undergrad. However, I edited all four magazines from Spring 2014- Spring 2017 - the pictures below is the last magazine I helped edit - 2017.
