This is my senior project that I spent the entire Fall 2016 semester working on.
I presented the conference paper with a powerpoint on December 1st 2016 and the journal article was due on the 16th.
I have my abstract, annotated bibliography, conference paper, outline, powerpoint, and "notecards" attached to this page in files.
Overall, my project involved analyzing motherhood, fatherhood, and families in Gillian Flynn's Dark Places.
I'm also going to include two essays that I wrote for this class (I received A's on both of these essays):
"The Patriarchy’s Institution of Motherhood in Mythology and Poetry" (Short Paper 1) a five-page essay for my Capstone course in Fall 2016, where I analyze a mythological short story "The Two Great Gods of Earth" and a poem "The Admiral," and express how the patriarchy influences the two.
"Waylon: The Transformed Father" (Short Paper 2) a five-page essay for my Capstone course in Fall 2016, where I analyze Waylon in MotherKind and explain how he begins the novel as a "traditional" father, but transforms into a "new" father.
