About Me

     Now practicing as an Advocate at Calcutta High Court, retired as Registrar (Inspection-II), Appellate Side, Calcutta High Court, Kolkata on 31-05-2011. Later I was posted as Chairman, West Bengal Co-operative Tribunal from 05-09-2011 to 04-09-2013. I am B.Sc.,LL.B., LL.M. As a student, I studied at different places such as Dangoapossi (Jharkhand), Ahmedgarh, Tarn Taran, Ludhiana (Panjab), Chaibasa, Ranchi (Jharkhand) and then lastly at Delhi. I joined Judicial Service on the 5th day of March, 1982.

Purpose of making this web site

    During my long tenure of about 31 years as a Judicial Officer, I always felt that there should be some place wherein one may find enough material in the form of important laws, important Rulings of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and that of the different High Courts to dispose of Civil and Criminal matter quickly without loss of time in searching relevant laws and Rulings in text books. Hence this web-site. I have also incorporated in the web-site some Judgements delivered by me as a Judge so that the Judicial Officers, in the beginning of their career may get some guidelines or at least have an idea how to proceed with their mandatory Judicial work of writing Judgements. I would invite good Judgements delivered by Judges of the lower Judiciary confirmed upto the SC to make this object all the more relevant, effective and authentic. Even if a fraction of the object of creation of this web-site be achieved, I would call it a success.

           I humbly request my  brother Judicial Officers to send me through e-mail the  latest G.Os., Notifications etc. if any, which they feel are important and not available in my website so that benefit of such information may be made available to other Judicial Officers merely through the click of the mouse of their computers.
