1. Screen who you add to the group. If in doubt, PM a question about the cruise or ports you are visiting. If they don't answer, don't add them.
2. Keep track of cancellations. In fact, remove the person if they are not cruising with you. This will keep your cruise group safe from gawkers.
3. You don't need to organize everything, ask for trusted helpers. Trusted would be someone active in the group and engages the group in a positive way.
4. Keep the group engaged in conversation. Post a subject once a week or every other week.
5. VERY IMPORTANT: Pick your co-admins carefully. It is important to surround yourself with good people who have only good intentions and want to make the group a fun and inviting space for all. You don't want drama or a mutiny!
6. Use Google doc for your FE group list and other group sign up activities.
7. When setting up a cruise group, don't let members approve member adds. Members can add people, but only Admins can approve them.
8. Group rules or guidelines set the tone for the group. A group statement or mission statement would work here. Setting expectation from the beginning helps avoid these admin time killing moments.
