There are many great locations in South Lake Tahoe and there are several ways you can make accommodations. You can book somewhere to stay at a hotel, a casino resort, or a vacation rental. If you are coming up with a group of people, booking a vacation rental is highly recommended. If you're looking to rent a vacation home, we recommend using Vacation Rentals By Owner (vrbo.com).

There are 4 major areas in South Lake Tahoe to consider: Stateline, mid-town, "The Y," and Meyers. Stateline is home to the casinos and resorts as well as the Gondola and Marriott shopping center. It is right on the border of California and Nevada. If you continue further into town along HWY 50, you find yourself in mid-town. This has many great neighborhood areas like Ski Run, Al Tahoe, Sierra Tract, and the Tahoe Keys. Going further West, HWY 50 meets with HWY 89. This intersection is known as 'The Y' and for being very residential as many locals live in this area. Finally, at the base of Echo Summit is Meyers. This area is closest to the site of the wedding, but farther from the tourist attractions in the previously mentioned neighborhoods. This area is also very quiet and residential. We've drawn a rough sketch of the areas below to give you an idea on the locations, so feel free to use it as a reference when looking for a place to stay.
