If you are flying from out of town, the closest airport is Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). It is about a 1 hour and 20 minute drive to South Lake Tahoe. Rental cars are available at the airport, as well as a shuttle bus to Tahoe. You can find more information if you click here. The 2nd closest airport is Sacramento International Airport (SMF). If you are driving from Southern California, you can take both the I-5 N or HWY 395 N. We think the 395 is more scenic, but it can be a slightly longer trip depending on where you depart.

From RNO: Follow signs for 395 towards Carson City/South Lake Tahoe
Turn on to 395 S towards Carson City
Take Exit 38 (Fairview Dr)
Keep R and follow signs for US 395/HWY 50
Turn L on to Carson St
Turn R onto HWY 50 and continue until you arrive in South Lake Tahoe
From SMF: Follow signs for I-5 S
Merge onto I-5 S
Follow signs for HWY 50/San Francisco/Fresno/South Lake Tahoe
Follow signs for HWY 50 E towards South Lake Tahoe
Merge onto HWY 50 E and continue until you arrive in South Lake Tahoe
To Paradise Park (see maps below):
From HWY 50, turn onto Apache Ave
Turn L onto San Bernardino Ave (Just before Magnet School)
Continue into Paradise Park and look for signs on where to park
