Wheat

Wheat provides a balance of high quality nutrients to sustain life. It is a great food storage item if you do not have gluten allergies.

A few helpful tips about wheat:

  • Today's wheat has been genetically modified and is more allergenic than the original wheat grain
  • Spelt is the most superior grain food available today. It is the ancient wheat grain unaltered by civilization. It has not been degenerated by hybridization or generation-after-generation exposure to pesticides and chemical fertilizers
  • Hard Red and Hard White wheat have a higher protein content than soft wheat. You need to use wheat with a high protein content to make a high quality bread.
