G. Home Health Care

One of the most difficult times in a homemaker's day is when someone she cares about is injured or sick.  How does she know when to treat the problem at home and when to seek medical attention.  There are many natural home remedies that can be used in the home to take care of common ailments.  Several years ago, this knowledge was past from mother to daughter.  Unfortunately, much of this knowledge has been lost in the current generation.   We have provided resources to help homemakers learn of natural remedies that have been used successfully.    Common ailments are listed alphabetically.  Each page includes recommendations for diet, nutritional and herbal supplements, and essential oils.

We also recommend the dietary recommendations found in the Foundation for Health Food Plan and the page on Natural Health Basics that provides an overview of Natural Health Therapies.

This information does not replace the advise and care of a physician, but it offers Homemakers a collection of home remedies that have been used to treat common ailments.   Learning how to use herbs, essential oils, and diet to promote good health is a valuable preparedness tool for future challenges.

If you are interested in stocking up on a few medicinal herbs, we recommend the following:
